Smile New from Texas

Hello all my name is Shawn, I have been an avid seeker of old artifacts all my life. I found this site in search of someone that can tell me what I might have. 15 years ago I was working on my grandmothers property in Johnson City, Texas. Less than 2 blocks from the Perdinalis River. While digging a post hole for a chicken coop, about 1 1/2 feet down I found this stone, it looks very Tomahawkish to me or something.

Hello Chrishawn,,,I am in Austin,,,welcome
The piece looks like it has been worked ,,But it looks like a Core reduction,
Most of the Flint Axes you see in Texas are a bit different.Go to the Galleries section and Search "The Kerrville hand ax"
If there was some tighter knapping going on I might think a scrapper. But a core Is the main rock used to knock off Spalls for Flakes,,,to be used to make tools and then bi face scrappers then finally turn into Darts,,,,usually this is the typical stages,,although they might skip a phase,,,just depended on what they needed///comanche
