started hunting at about age 10, with parents who were avid collectors (of everything!) -- just turned 59, so that makes it close enuff to 50 years of collecting! Started around Clovis, NM -- and yes! I have one alibates Clovis point to my credit! It's a disease in my blood that I'll never get rid of!

i found my first arrowhead while hiking with my late father outside of El Paso Texas at the age of 8. That was all it took. The beautiful work of art that hadn't been touched in a thousand years put me on the path that I still walk. It is an honor to be able to find these artifacts and now I spend much of my free time in the field in New Mexico doing research for my archaeology degree. The ER nursing has given me the schedule to allow me to be in the field as much as I am.

I have been into hunting artifacts for 25 years. Don't know much for that many years of hunting but have had a lot of fun!

well
I have been hunting on and off since I was about 3 years old. But this time I have really gotten addicted. Ive always been a rockhound, I like stones in general, but my main addiction now is Artifacts. My Family has always been into rockhounding and artifacts. My grandfather, father, and uncles, all had or have extensive collections and knowlege in the area. I know alot about artifacts and how and where to hunt them, and now I am going to put that knowledge to use. This should be a Great year, as soon as this darn Snow is gone.

I have been collecting since I was 8. I was deer hunting w/my dad & found a very nice pestle. That was 30 yrs. ago, & I havent found one as good since. When I was 11 I went to live w/my Grandpa on his ranch in Boulder Ut. thats when I really got into it.There are Anasazi artifacts everywhere in that valley. That ranch is no longer in the family but it was great while it lasted.

been rock hounding since i could walk, bitten by arrowhead bug about 10 years ago when camping in north central Arkansas. The campground was expanding and had bulldosed an area the size of a football field were a feeder creek flowed into the Spring River between Mammoth Springs and Hardy. just covered with flakes and broken points. Spent the rest of my vacation on that hill going as far as to hunting at night with a flashlight like i was huntn' nightcrawlers!

I started hunting at the age of 16 after finding my first arrowhead while working at a summer job. Glad I found that first arrowhead because it was such an exciting experience that I started hunting at that point and haven't stopped since.
