Possible abrading stone...

This was passed down to me from my mother. A guy found it on my Grandmothers land after bushhogging. The material is red sandstone. It is about 6" in its largest dimension. The best I can do for a description is that it looks just like a giant peach seed. The grooves aren't that deep, but are well defined. I showed it to a local collector (scam artist) and he said geofact. I was thinking a root system might have cause the shape. Any thoughts are greatly appreiciated. Pictures serve little justice on this one.

The thing about sandstone is in most (wet) environments the tool marks are eroded.

Comanche has a softer, more inner nature kind of side to him, which enables him to nail the harder ones. Good call, man!

Comanche, there was a pun in there somewhere when I was typing that out, but it didn't materialize. I stayed up too late I guess.
