    Tumbleweed

This may sound like a bizarre "want to buy," but I'm a naturalist and collect all sorts of nature-related things.

I've always wanted to have a tumbleweed, and with our climate here I think I could grow some, so some seeds would be cool to get also.

So if anyone could get one, stuff it carefully in a box and ship it to me, I'd be happy to buy one and pay for the shipping. I'm sure they are everywhere like weeds to some of you, so, anyone? Thanks!

My god man, you DON'T want a tumbleweed.

Many years ago I wanted a tumbleweed. I thought they would be cool, a nifty novelty to have. A friend visiting from Cali. obliged me, he brought me a tumbleweed in a box. He warned me against the evils of them..and I really wish I had listened. Those sumbucks will cut you to shreds and they will leave their seed everywhere (Which I've heard is why they tumble). They are evil I say, EVIL!

The same thing happened to me with Vegemite. The Men at Work song (land down under) gave me the urge to try it. A friend from OZ sent me a bottle. My God, that stuff should be outlawed!

Myself & DesertWalker were going on a hunt that day. Those tumblers just kept piling up as I was driving along. It got to the point that I couldn't even see out of the windshield. Had to pull over to clear a path. Never seen so many of those things before.

Scotto,I brought my son one back from New Mexico last year ( he saw them in a video game and wanted one) and had it hanging on the front porch for awhile...now it's in the garage.

If you can't get someone else to send you one with seeds, I'll ask him if he's ready to part with it.

Neanderthals right though, there's some thorns on them...just be careful and you'll be OK.
