    Dalton classic

    a fine classic dalton made from a varigated form of burlington chert 3 inches long and heavily resharpened found in howard county missouri.

    Here we have a fine Dalton classic in it's insitu form ( as it was found ) this point is made from a local chert source that has yet to be named , i call it cotter flint as this is the predominit flint source from the area i hunt. it has the classic basal thinning some folks call fluting. but it is just thinning strikes to aid in the hafting of the projectile.it is 2 5/8ths long.
