    Carrollton yesterday-ETX.

StumblEd into a gravel hole yesterday on a creek and found this ole boy. It is 2 1/2 and i think maybe Georgetown flint. It is very high quality chert and definitely not from flint pore San Jacinto Co. I am always amazed how these jewels can survive 5-6 thousands of years with out a ding. The stories these things could tell !!! Carrollton may represent the Trinity River as well as any type. ( even tho I much rather find a Scotty , or a Penwah Slough Catahoula ).Carrollton yesterday-ETX.-e71e4748-9ce6-402c-bdf0-a03bec999f53-jpgCarrollton yesterday-ETX.-7b3ebb59-b7fb-4a16-be0d-7a515e447435-jpgCarrollton yesterday-ETX.-252de876-cb0a-4eee-b356-3042e5a05ecb-jpgCarrollton yesterday-ETX.-2c882fa2-2a10-47be-8744-23d3d59a86f9-jpgCarrollton yesterday-ETX.-cefebe3c-78e4-4a41-bbb9-91f333d0b0d9-jpg

That is a dandy, no doubt!
I don't know 100% that it is a Carrollton, but at the same time I don't know what else I would call it.
East Texas has a lot of unusual variations in its typology. Great find, and glad to see you getting out!

Not so typical for the type but to me it has a strong resemblance to Langtry.
