    Tomahawk?

    Tomahawk?-img_0514-jpg

A few weeks ago, I discovered this item in central Illinois. I have found a number of a number of artifacts through the years, but never anything like this. I think it's a tomahawk. Would appreciate any further insights from the forum members.

Hello Ben and welcome. My opinion is that's a natural formation. I can't see any human alteration there.

So Steve thinks it is naturally occurring but uniface thinks it is a tool? Maybe I should ask a local expert (whomever that might be)... I'm afraid my low quality photography is not showing it as well as could be done.

I appreciate all of you sharing your knowledge & thoughts. Here are a couple other oddities...maybe they are just natural rocks as well...
