    I don't have them all together since I've given about 10 to the landowner and his son has a nice little collection from the site too. After it is all done we will put them together and a comprehensive site photo.

    As for the material...could it be red Pierson chert?

    The more I study this the more it looks like knife river flint. Wouldn't that be something!

    I reckon they could have come right down the Missouri River. Then the type wouldn't really match up but I guess they could have learned a new style/traded once they got here. Its all really fun to speculate!

    Any tips on who to talk to about material types? Eventually I'd like to have most if not all of my stuff identified. Local university maybe?

    By "my work" I assume you're talking about my excavation. At least I hope so. Some folks on a certain social media page seem to not believe this artifact is authentic.
