Translucent Palmwood Knife

Me and Tommy went out yesterday. The first site we went to we seen a familiar face, Mr.Don Black was out collecting petrified wood. After a nice long visit with Don we wished him luck and moved on. Then we went to the site where the famous Sammy Ray Clovis was found. Tommy found some nice bird points, and I found these guy's. It wasn't what we were looking for but I was happy to get the Gary and the nice translucent palmwood knife. It looks and feels old, good base grinding so maybe it's a Paleo knife.

All the palmwood pieces I keep seeing are just too cool. I am pretty sure we never found a single piece in all the years of looking. Just too far away I guess.

Nice find.

That is a fine piece of Palmwood. It does have that old look to it.Its always a cool feeling to know you're hunting a spot that produced a well known killer.
