OK GOT the piece and looped it basil grinding is rounded, resharpening is random flaked and dirt in sporadic crevices!
Flutes are abnormally long but are smooth with some ripples-Grinding terminates at flute ends as it should- I do not know clovis like Cody but do think there s an outside chance this is an old paleo knife Goes to DR Monday

    Following this story with interest.

"Clovis" with long flutes FWIW : Barnes points (son of Crowfield in the northeast/-central states) can be fluted to the tips like Folsom.

    Barnes Point Cast

Weren't folsoms actually longer than most realized and were actually reduced in use to the flute termination ?

One of the western guys here who are deeply into that stuff could tell you better. But I'd think a 3-inch Folsom would be one for the record book.

I have a cast of a Folsom at work that was quite a bit longer than the flutes. I got it from Mammoth run lithics. I'll try to remember to take a pic and post it on Monday
