Point from Switzerland

Is it me or does this point look just like a Langtry?

Yes they have a similiar shape but that is about the limit of similarities. These points are always very small and normally in my opinion not as thin in relation to width as the normal Langtry.

They certainly do not have as many variations on small points as we do here in the states. Along with the type shown in your message this attached pic shows the basic other styles from that area.

Wish they had Type books in Europe as we do here in the U.S.....and written in English versions. I have been getting some very nice books sent to me on artifacts from this part of the world from these customers but have to rely on pictures only, as I do not speak the languages....only East Tenn Hill Billy,

Very interesting Mr.Gomer..The top Piece,,Top rgt. looks like the Smith type.
I was looking at some South Ameican points yesterday//Peru/Bolivia,,And I was amazed at how closely they resemble South Texas point types. The major difference was the lithic material,,Seems like it would be hard to differentiate between them unless you knew the diffirent Type lithics from these various areas

I agree but a very tiny Smith.

All of the points in Florida as some I feel in Texas just show that not all peoples were migrating from the North to the South.....about as many Southern people with that itch to roam. Just as it is today. I think its interesting when a point type which seems to have alot of S.A. influence can pretty well be traced to where that point type migration ended on a Northern journey. I have alwasy wondered why??

Such as a Hillsborough point type for example, it pretty well dies completely out at the Ga., Fla state line.....why??

It's always amazed me just how much the African Neolithic Points resemble some of the Gem Points from Oregon and Washington. I have even seen some people on Ebay try to pass them off as Oregon Gem Points to unsuspecting collectors.

Claude went to Denmark 2 years ago and made a rock run, he brought back barrels of the danish flint but while he was there he visited the museums and the have Hernandos over there, just like ours, he even sat in a knapped a few for them and believe me they were amazed.

Sorry Mr.Gomer,, I did not see the Penny in my first go around. My eye went straight to the Smith looking point. Now that I see it is miniture ,,It really does kinda make me wonder/
On the aspect of the Hillsborough,Point..Just to let my mind go afar,,,Maybe it was the invasion of De-Soto that led to this type not spreading out further.
It is interesting to think just what Really happened////c
