    Well that's one of the benefits of N'Eastern Illinois. No venomous snakes. I hear people saying they saw a "moccasin" which was just a water snake. Fox snakes get confused as rattlers...how is beyond me...yeah you southern and western folks really gotta watch where ya step...

    not venomous

    Saw this one dead on the road today. Not venomous but it was nearly a 4 foot long bull snake.Do any of you collect....-img_0833-jpg

    Too bad there Gary those Bulls are very good to have around. Rodent eating machines. We had a big one living under our shed for a while and there wasn't a critter to be found during that time. They are very shy and aren't usually seen as the scram as soon as they hear something..

    Yes, they do eat a lot of rodents. This is one of the bigger ones I have seen.
