Flathead Catfish

I caught this 38 pound flathead on a bank pole in the Kaskaskia River last night.

Somebody pass me the tarter sauce please. Way to go Josh!! My Dad introduced me to bank poling when I was a kid. We used hoptoads for bait. My brother and I would ride on the front hood of the 55 Chev while he drove us down the road picking up bait. Later on, I found the best bait to be waterdogs.

Thanks for including your children in your love of the outdoors. We will all benefit from it in our future. Congrats to your daughter, great find.
