Timing Out

I have to complain a little here. I think this site time you out too early. What is it 10 minutes? I wouldn't care but I miss new post all the time now because of it.

Massac,
When you log in, check the "remember me" box. That way it will automatically log you in every time. It will make the timeout transparent. Let us know if that does not solve the problem.

Mojave,

I have the same problem. In fact, I find it necessary to click the "remember me" box each time I log on. Only then will the login prompt my username automatically.

I'm not complaining, but the timing out is a pain at times. Especially when trying to make a detailed post or want to walk away for a while.

I thought it was just my own inability to operate this contraption. Could still be.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Mojave,

A little more information: First off, my preference is to log into the "today's post" page. When I do and the site recognizes my username, I can only navigate within that (todays post) location. In other words, If I navigate then to say, Forums, the site recognizes me as a guest and will not allow me to reply within that location without having to login again.

Again, not complaining, as I have grown accustomed to what I have to do to keep up with current posts.

Kirby,
You have a strange problem that is not normal.
It sounds like your computer is automatically deleting cookies. I'm not sure how it check this on your computer.
When I check the remember me box I never have to do anything. Many months go by without having to enter a username or password. Sen Big Ed or Shannon a message. Maybe they can help.
Dan, do you know what the deal could be?

Mojave I would say if you have to log in constantly, even when you click the box "remember me" then the cookies are being deleted or something to that nature. That is my opinion anyhow. I am logged in all the time and I click the remember me box. The only time that I am not logged in is because I clean my browsing history, including cookies. I do not thin k it is arrowheadology side of it. Is there anyone else that has this problem?

I've had similar problems elsewhere when my PC settings were "too tight" or anti virus/malware software was deleting cookings and preventing things from auto opening like pop up blockers sometimes do.
