New forum changes for May
A few changes have been implemented to continue to make this the best community on the Internet.

1. The "Rep Power" feature has been disabled and replaced with...

2. A "Thanks" feature has been added. If you look to the lower right of any post, you will see a thanks (thumbs up) button. It allows users to thank people for helpful or insightful posts. You will also see that new "thanks" statistics have been added to ther information bar that appears in each post that a person makes (showing the number of 'thanks' a person has recieved or given). Each post that has thanks attached to it will also now display the users that "thanked" on that post. This is a nice way for people to support and reward great contributions. This has been in "beta" for the past couple of weeks, but is now permanent and official!

If it makes you feel better, I am no longer "just really nice."

As many times as you've asked for rep or thanks and once made as though you don't care about it I'm surprised to see that the disappearance of the feature is of such interest to you. You noticed it pretty fast.

Combine this with your 50+ friend requests...

Everything is cool Papa. You are appreciated. I wouldn't know squat about Golden Seal and you've got me putting a mason hammer on my purchase list. Keep up the good posts.

I personally I find myself wondering why the rep power is such a big deal. I focus on what I enjoy reading and looking at other members post. Having rep power does nothing for my train of thought so THANKS
