Northwest BBQ/show off

I see no mater where I go on the net people asking where they might see an artifact show close to home. Well if you have the money you can fly to some land that you know nothing about and see pretty rocks that have been transplanted from other states orrrrrrrrrrr we can have our own. It don't have to be big or small just good people having a good time with good people. I am not trying to start any trouble by calling people out its just there are allot of use that probably meet already on the river but didn't have th guts to talk because we think they are there to either take our rocks or take us to jail. There is so much we can learn from where we hunt if we share might even help id some things that people are wondering what they are. Or we can sit back with some colds ones and come up with our own ideas while the kids can sleep in the tents. Just an idea.

This is a great Idea! WE're in for the BBQ ~ Camp in your yard~ Artifact Share & Show!!!
I can bring 3 guys with collections, both have good knowledge and lots of passion for artifacts. I think the Bonus would be the Artifacts..My focus would rightly be on having a day to have a beer and share information with new folks.
My wheels are already spinning..

First good idea for the event:

Easter egg style hunt for the kids..Only we hide some brokes and partial points In a small area...I've got lots of brokes to donate.

This is exactly the reason we need to get together as a group and meet up once in a while. I was always hesitant to share hunting grounds with others (simply for selfish reasons)and once I finally did found it was an overwhelmingly good experience. And the trust and openess was recipricated. I have also found that just being with a group or partner and sharing their finds is exiting to be a part of. I think it's a natural maturation process and it takes the focus away from just "acquiring" and puts it back into the realm of sharing an experience..After all, what good are our finds without exited and enthusiastic friends to share them with.

This whole thing is becoming more about the process to me..I have found great satisfaction in researching and uncovering "leads" and likely sites. But even better is to call a trusted friend to share the information with and make plans to go on a hunt!

Sounds like a plan to me. I have a few people I can ask. The kids hunt would be fun. I have some points I can kick in. I have a few knapping tools for the ones that want to make some points also. I have tried it out to see how the points I find were made. Man now I have to tell ma that we need to get out the good paper plates. Heck I might even cut the grass for yall.

A friend and I can bring our Knapping supplies (since my collection is just 3 pieces) and do some demos, help folks get started.

litzer if you want you can try and convence the kids to let you. Markus that right there sounds like a plan. This is starting to get some where I guess we will need a place and date. I know I have a long weekend at the end of the month on the 30th and other might as well. I know its short on timeing but my place is still open to have this.
