Also look towards the bottom of the last link...
arrow1macro on May 21st and April 7th.
feebhardcastle on April 6th
All these users are bidding multiple times on multiple items over the course of a few minutes. Definatly a scandal of some sort.

I think the money laundering idea is the best. These would not be able to be bumped up to a price that high. They look like fakes and proving that they are paleo...

With the same few people doing all of the bidding and buying I think it's all a front.

Right . . .
Does anyone accept it?

Maybe I'm missing something but I looked at this seller's auctions and bidders and I don't see the shilling. It looks like he has repeat bidders and buyers, and it looks like some things sold too high, but all of his buyers were happy. I don't see the same items being sold again and again, or the same bidder running up every auction (the purpose of the shill). It looks like he has a customer base. That is not shilling. But it bears watching.

The pieces look good to me , but there's still something stinky about the bids, and prices they went for.

You would be surprised at how many people have multiple accounts on Ebay. It would also be very easy for someone to have multiple family members and friends have different accounts and bid on items to raise the prices. It happens all the time and unless someone reports or complains Ebay will not put a stop to it. No way those pieces are worth what they are going for. Is it possible that there are really that many dumbasses out there paying that much for junk?

My brother knew a woman that lived here in our area that had family members bidding up items on Ebay for her all the time and once it got to a certain price they would stop bidding and if no one else bid on it she would relist it later stating that the buyer never sent payment and do the same thing over and over until it sold. She finally got caught and all Ebay did was kick her off and he said she had another account in less than a week, so yes it does happen.

I know a guy that got banned for selling pieces with fake Perino papers .Now he sells points he knapps under his wifes account. Or at least he did, now that account is gone. I sold antiques and a few artifacts for 8 years there and did real well. I stopped about two years ago when they made some changes I did not like and I will not go back. Ray

Something is rotten in Denmark.

The money laundering idea is interesting, but how do you get the 'dirty' cash into paypal in order to launder it through ebay?

At first I thought simple shill bidding, but what shill bidder in their right mind is going to take the price to a level way way way above what any real buyer will pay? Pigs get fed, hogs get slaughtered.

Nonetheless, there's something fishy or illegal going on here. Maybe it has to do with setting the stage to rip off a big buyer.
