The real red flag on the first one was the notice at the bottom of the sales fluff verbage about not "accepting" laser evaluation.

Right . . .

Partly, probably due to increased recognition, due to people posting about them on artifact boards (:blush.
Sooooo, ...

I guess it is all your fault.

In another ten years or so I am going to be filthy rich. I got tons of that stuff, even better.

Definitely something strange about those sales...

That was foreseen as a consequence, but I figured it was better people learned to recognise and appreciate the stuff -- for the sake of the stuff itself being valued and cared for.

Shill bidding, as SRV said, there's no other reason.

I dont go on e-bay to look for artifacts. Years ago you could not givaway a blade, tool, or barely get anything for a good knife form short of a Harahey. This Paleo tool deal got started after all the high grade points got snatched up in the late 90's....the big dealer / authinticators created a supplemental market.

that was a major red flag here, look at the patina on the flat side and then the lack of patina on the rest of the core, someone got taken here

Here's the screening tool I use when selling something expensive.
Toolhaus.org

If I had as many repeat customers as this guy, I would still be selling on eBay.
260142ralphl has spent more than $1000, one piece for $800 alone.
