Never fry bacon naked,,
That small concave area on the tip is heavily ground as was done in the original point. Very interesting artifacts.
Unless my eyes are deceiving me, and I don't believe they are, those are impact flutes and there's nothing Clovis about this piece. The flake terminations tell the story. Definitely NOT a Clovis reworked.
Shawn
The older I get the more respect I have for Greg, but I see a point with two impact fractures.
Dosen't a flute end with a flake termination ??
.
I would like to hear what Knife River has to say bout this.

Joshua sees it.
And no, my eyes aren't deceiving me, palmwood. According to the flake scars, the "flutes" came AFTER the Scottsbluff point was made. It's definitely not a reworked Clovis.
Shawn
The impact scars are INTRUSIVE to the Scottsbluff manufacturing scars. That is, the "flutes" came AFTER the Scottsbluff was made.
