    That small concave area on the tip is heavily ground as was done in the original point. Very interesting artifacts.

    Unless my eyes are deceiving me, and I don't believe they are, those are impact flutes and there's nothing Clovis about this piece. The flake terminations tell the story. Definitely NOT a Clovis reworked.

    Yes Roger,,,the heavily ground concave base of the original point is very interesting. only way this could happen,,imo

    Your eyes are deceiving you. That is why I mentioned the grinding. What are you looking for on the flake terminations?

    And no, my eyes aren't deceiving me, palmwood. According to the flake scars, the "flutes" came AFTER the Scottsbluff point was made. It's definitely not a reworked Clovis.

    The impact scars are INTRUSIVE to the Scottsbluff manufacturing scars. That is, the "flutes" came AFTER the Scottsbluff was made.
