Beginners luck.....not

I recently started artifact hunting again after nearly 49 years. I hunted a lot as a boy and had a nice little collection. Since then, I've found a few purely by accident. I've always had it in my blood and decided to start hunting again now that I'm retired and have a little time. I've picked Thursdays as my day to hunt. I went out today for the 4th Thursday. So far I've found "nothing". Been hunting local creeks and streams and enjoyed every minute of it. I even walked though some standing corn on the way back to the car this afternoon. The only thing notable was getting my cell phone wet after wading through water that was deeper than expected. Lesson learned there.
I've been admiring the points that you folks have been finding. Maybe one of these days my luck will pick up. Until then, it is nice to get out and enjoy a little nature, peace and tranquility.

It's good to get out and get the exercise but at some point they have to start turning up. I hope your luck changes quickly.

Keeping your cell phone in a sealed ziplock bag works quite well.

Good luck in the future. If you cannot get your phone to dry out, put it in a tupperware container with some rice. Sealed tight. The rice will soak the moisture out. Worked for me a few times. Here is to many more happy hunts.
