Johnny, I am in the area. I have not been on the site too much this summer but saw your recent posts. Drop me a line, let's talk. I am very much a novice, but did a lot of research last year. I am looking to get out more soon once the foliage retreats. In relation to your post, I read about an old site in Caty that they found when building the railroad. You may have seen it online. Anyway, I would enjoy talking with you on hunting in Lehigh County and the area.

Bucks county here, and looking for some guidance. Have one spot used to walk as a kid, but haven't seen it plowed in years. Have been trying to find new spots through maps, but not entirely sure what I should be looking for. Anybody care to provide some help? Maybe even recommend a few books I should have?

Turnbaugh - Man Land and Time - AbeBooks
You can get this to read through the inter-ibrary loan program if you don't have 70 bucks for your own copy of it. |

Uniface,
thanks for the recommendation, I'm in search as we speak. Could you, or rather do you, know of any books that would pertain to eastern pa? I know that the area has history, but am having a hard time finding actual info. Thanks again |

If you're in east central Penna., that's the one you want.
It was a guy's PhD dissertation (Harvard) : a survey of all the principal sites on record in the upper Susquehanna Valley (mapped) and the points they produced. If that's where you live, don't leave home without reading and digesting it. |
