Im pretty lucky. I live in an older neighborhood and am surrounded by retired NRA members. We all have each others backs, they know when we leave town that any vehicle or person at our house should be treated as a thief and same goes when they leave town with us watching them.

Funny thing about our block, in the entire surrounding development there have been a number of break ins and burglary's. Our neighborhood is going 8 years without a single incident.

Also, get a safety deposit box (or several in my case). Local Credit unions will set you up with for extra large sizes for roughly 40 bucks a year.
